In GSM mode you can make and receive calls in all GSM areas with 900, 1800 or 1900 MHz frequencies. If you are outside the GSM coverage area you can make and receive calls from any destination within Thuraya’s coverage area spanning 140 countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe.

GSM tri-band The dual-mode satellite and GSM functionality of the Thuraya SG-2520 enables you to roam onto the networks of GSM providers. Using a Thuraya SIM card with GSM mode selected on your handset, you can make calls using our GSM partner networks, comprising more than 270 providers across 140 countries. You can also use the SIM card of a GSM partner in your Thuraya handset, allowing you to make and receive calls via an existing GSM phone number.
GPS services Thuraya SG-2520 offers superior GPS navigation capabilities enabling you to find locations and reach destinations quickly and safely.
Bluetooth Thuraya SG-2520 is the first satellite mobile phone with Bluetooth feature.
Languages Thuraya SG-2520 supports 12 languages, including: Arabic, English, Farsi, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Urdu.
Software platform Thuraya SG-2520 supports a variety of applications based on Java (J2ME).

The car charger simply plugs into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket, charging your handset using a standard vehicle DC jack.

Thuraya’s Travel Charger with EU/UK/Chinese plug types is a compact device that links your Thuraya SO-2510 to a mains socket for charging. It can be used regardless of whether the handset is switched off, on standby or during a call. The charging time of a Thuraya SO-2510 with a fully discharged battery is approximately 2 hours 25 minutes. The exchangeable plugs allow you to charge your Thuraya handset in most parts of the world.
