Dual-band satellite and GSM modes
The GSM functionality of the Thuraya Hughes 7100 enables you to roam onto the networks of GSM providers. Using a Thuraya SIM card with GSM mode selected on your handset, you can make calls using the GSM network of Thuraya’s GSM partners, comprising over 270 providers across 130 countries. You can also use the SIM card of a GSM partner in your Thuraya handset, allowing you to make and receive calls via an existing GSM phone number.

Data and SMS
The Thuraya Hughes 7100 provides convenient access to SMS. When connected to a PC, you can also access data and fax at 9.6 kbps.

GPS navigation services
The Thuraya Hughes 7100 enables you to find waypoints quickly and safely with its in-built GPS navigation functionality.

Language support
The Thuraya Hughes 7100 supports nine languages: English; Arabic; French; German; Italian; Russian; Turkish; Hindi and Farsi.
